Bois d'Amour

Chalet Kokover

bears its name from the green coco growing just next to the house in the middle of the garden. Two bright bedrooms, two bathrooms with showers as well as a spacious kitchen – well equipped – and an open veranda with wooden floors are the best ingredients for easy holidays in paradise.

With 60 sqm living space the house is perfectly suitable for up to four family members or friends. One of the bedrooms is directly connected with a bathroom, while the second bathroom is accessible from the veranda. We placed a double bed in the room with ensuite bath and two single beds in the second room.

A fantastic view

from the veranda into the garden and to the island mountain – this is what this house has to offer.  White-tailed tropicbirds draw circles in the sky, tropical sunbirds are chirping while mynas and bulbuls have a chatter.  Starfruit and guava grow in front of the kitchen window and mangoes and limes behind the house.

To settle back in the armchairs on your veranda after a sunny day at the sea, admiring the beautiful sunlight setting on the trees of the rainforest – just before full moon rises behind Nid d’Aigles and the stars begin to twinkle – amazing.

What our guests say

  • One of the most beautiful resorts we have seen on La Digue with it’s wonderful chalets and the tropical garden. The chalets are made out of tropical wood with lots of love and details. We really enjoyed the daily housekeeping service with the blossoms on the bed. Our hosts Birgit and Alvis were really friendly and helpful, gave us advice and tipps throughout our stay. We enjoyed their hospitality and focus on satisfaction of every single guest. They were always responding quickly to every request we had. The Bois d’Amour is perfect to explore every little corner of the island by bike, which Alvis had prepared already for us when we arrived (they are by the way in perfect shape and much cheaper than other offers). We definitely recommend Birgits and Alvis little Paradise and advice to stay longer on La Digue. We stayed for 7 days at the Bois D’Amour and have met lots of “sad” neighbours who only stayed for 2-3 days and wished to have stayed longer. La Digue is perfect to relax and calm down, its atmosphere is unique. For sure we want to come back. Thank you Birgit and Alvis for the nice time we had at your place.

  • Beautiful

Beautiful wooden houses, in the middle of a lush garden, bikes at the best price on the island, food on site if you want, proximity to a great take away, plenty of restaurant less than 10 minutes of cycling distance, close to anse source d’argent. Anyway everything is close on la digue, and you’ll have an amazing experience. Birgit and her companion will make you feel super welcome. The difficult part is leaving.
